A Note To Our Clients

Hello to all clients and friends.

As we all know, the recent outbreak of covid-19 has raised some concern for many businesses and clients alike. I want to reassure you all that we are taking this very seriously and taking many additional precautions to ensure the health and protection of not only our clients and artists, but the rest of the population.

Sephora, Ulta, Estée Lauder, MAC, and many more retailers have sent emails in the past few days outlining their new service guidelines. All services involving physical contact (makeup applications, makeup lessons, product demos, foundation matching etc.) will not be offered by any artist in store for the foreseeable future. Appointments are being cancelled or rescheduled to an undetermined later date.

We have made the decision at Amanda Merrell Beauty to keep our existing appointments and will move forward with booking additional clients during this time. If you should find yourself in need of hair or makeup services for your special event, please do reach out to me via my website and I’d be more than happy to see if we have availability to accommodate you and your event!

As a beauty professional and educator for over 11 years, I have always taken public health and safety very seriously. It is our responsibility as artists to protect our clients, ourselves, and our investment in our products and tools to prevent the spread of any infectious disease. I wash my hands upon arrival, between clients, and sanitize them throughout the service. I regularly sanitize my palettes, never double dip in cream or liquid products (such as mascara, lip gloss, concealer, foundation etc), use disposable tools when called for (mascara wands, q-tips, sponges, lip wands, makeup wipes etc), and am diligent about washing every single makeup brush with antibacterial soap and water between each client, and using sanitation guidelines outlined by the state board as well as the CDC.

With all that being said, it is everyone’s responsibility to keep this situation from escalating further. Please be respectful and understand that services will not be rendered to any individual experiencing symptoms. My cancellation policy will be adjusted for the time being to allow for more leniency should your event be postponed due to the current pandemic situation and we will make every effort to work with you to reschedule your services for a later date.

Thank you,

Amanda
